Hidden beneath covers.

Willing thoughts with tiny mind.
A touch
like a burning arrow.
Piercing body
Searing her soul
Scarring memory for life
Whispers

This is for love precious child
Will hurt but for awhile
Child cries
Alone again

Love is bad
Love hurts
Help.....need help

Try talking....no one to listen
Remembered warnings
Again silent
Teachers criticize.....ridicule
Blind to child's pain.
Unable to see past the books,
beyond math and science.
Only scolding.....join in child with us.
Child inverts
becomes alone.
Lost in the pain and fear.
Just knowing
Love hurts.
No help
No defense
Small child taking on the world.
Hiding behind a mask of happiness.
Child's mind
Child's heart
speaking from within.
Trust no one
Love no one
Maybe then...
pain will be gone.
But pain of small child
forever
will linger on.

The children of the world are our future. Many suffer from various forms of abuse daily
and have nowhere to turn and noone to talk. Too often adults subconciously block such things
from their minds and look upon a hurting child with a blind eye. Please take notice of those
around you, you never know when just a kind word or smile will change the outlook of a child's
life.
I'd like to someday write "Answer To Hurting Child" but as of yet, I have not found a solid
answer for them.
