When the mornin sun wakes me
from a night of peaceful sleep,
my thoughts turn to you
for I know your waiting to greet me.
If my day turns bad
and I'm in a rotten mood
I turn to you
for I know you'll cheer me.
When I feel weak
my hand reaches for you.
For I know your strength
will carry me without falter.
In times when I am scared or confused
I take your hand in mine.
This I do because I know
you will not lead me into harms way.
When I am troubled an unsure of myself
I search for you.
I know you will help me,
aiding and comforting with tenderness.
If I become in need of a friend
I open up to you.
Knowing that you'll be there for me
listening and keeping my thoughts inside.
When I need reassurance
I only need to gaze into your eyes.
For I know they are the door to your soul,
revealing in their brightness words that
need not be spoken.
If my desire is for a lover
I curl up in your arms.
Knowing that you will give me
all that you have to offer.
No matter what I find I need
my heart reaches out for yours.
I know in there,
I will find the affection, strength, and support I need.
All of these things are why I adore you.
They show your confidence and control.
A control that is not demanding,
but a charisma that makes people want to please you.
When I ask myself what I feel for you
I only need to look at these things.
For I know that these things, when added up
say I love you.
Of all these things I know
there is still one thing I'm unsure of.
I can only hope, that in all my times of need,
you realize I am also there if you ever require
